Being found where you work
Your website should say where you work as clearly as what you do, so nearby customers know you serve them.
Most local businesses don’t work in one spot. They drive to their customers, cover a handful of towns, or serve a whole county. Yet many of their websites mention one city in the footer — or no place at all.
Two claims, not one
Saying what you do is one claim. Saying where you do it is a second, separate claim. A site can make the first one well and never make the second.
Picture a landscaper based in one town who mows, plants and clears gutters in six towns around it. The website lists the services and gives an address. A homeowner two towns over has no way to tell, from the site alone, whether this business comes out to them. Neither does anyone else trying to work out where the business operates.
Where you work is already written down
You have probably said where you work many times already. It shows up in the reviews customers leave, in the towns named on your business profiles, in the jobs you post photos of and in the areas you tell people on the phone.
That evidence is real, but it is scattered. Each profile holds a piece of it. Your own website is the one place that can hold all of it, so the profiles point back to something complete instead of each telling part of the story.
Each service, in the places you offer it
A complete site connects the two claims. It says which services you offer, and where you offer each of them — because they don’t always match. The landscaper might mow in every nearby town but only take on full garden designs close to home.
When that is written down plainly, a customer in the next town over can see in seconds that you do the job they need, where they need it.
You don’t have to map it out
You don’t need to draw up a list of towns or write a page for each one. We start from where your business already shows up, put your service area on a website you own, and show you the result. You tell us what’s right — and which places you’d rather not drive to.
What we can and can’t promise
Nobody can honestly promise where you’ll appear when someone nearby looks for help. What we can do is make sure your website says clearly that you work where they are.
